Help & Support for Returning Citizens, Veterans & Our Community.
“When we choose to do something about who we are and what we are, only then can we rectify or change where we are.” – Kelvin Manurs, Founder of Arm & Arm –
PEER TO PEER Support & Empowerment
Arm & Arm’s empathetic approach encourages and supports our members during their family and community building / rebuilding process through workshops, discussion groups, and community and social events.
Arm & Arm’s mission is to empower individuals returning home from traumatic experiences (e.g., incarceration, military service, homelessness, substance abuse) with tools that will enable them to make rational evaluations of themselves, their situations, and their circumstances, and subsequently make healthy and proactive decisions, as they navigate their way back into society.
Arm & Arm was founded and is operated by individuals who have learned resilience and, in turn, impart these skills for coping with traumatic life experiences. We support the most marginalized and overlooked members of society. Having ourselves successfully returned to our communities from incarceration, the military, homelessness, substance abuse recovery, and/or mental health challenges, we are certified to provide training and services to others who are suffering from similar situations.
Through workshops, discussion groups, and community and social events, we provide our members with tools that will enable them to make rational assessments of themselves and their situations and subsequently make healthy and proactive decisions, as they navigate their way back into society.
